Boxed Clever is based in Durham, and is run by Alastair Lovett, a sole trader with considerable experience in providing bespoke storage.  The techniques he uses vary depending on the type of job and the kind of materials. He prefers traditional joinery methods, but he is equally comfortable with modern machine-based techniques. 

Alastair started Boxed Clever because he found that most furniture comes in standard sizes: it rarely fits where people need it to fit. He believes that "living spaces can be practical as well as attractive. Interior space is only useful if it does what you want it to do."
